Manager - CST001 - Bahrain
Salary
US$22000 CTC
Responsibilities
Provision
of a commercial, contractual and financial management service to the Project,
all in accordance with the PM-CM Scope of Services.
Duties
- Establish
and operate the Cost Control, Contract Administration and Financial
Control Procedures, both for the Project and internally
- Establish
and regularly update (at least monthly) the cost plan for the project,
including assessment of all changes, whether from project sources or
externally (such as inflation; the effects of foreign exchange; etc)
- Establish
and monitor the cost allowance for the identified separate packages,
including separate allowances for such items as design fees, inflation,
contingency and the like.
- Establish
and monitor the cost plan for each package and monitor the design development
of each being carried out by the Design Team, and adjust and update
the cost plan accordingly
- Review
estimates established by each Design Team's QS for the construction
cost of each package based upon the designs and specifications prepared
by the Design Team.
- Prepare
Project Cost and Cash Flow Reports on a monthly basis
- Manage
the project Change Control process, including holding regular reviews
with the Design
- Managers
to identify change as early as possible
- Maintain
a register of all pre-construction Variation Orders, prepare reports
and notify on the cost effects of such orders on the cost plan
- Advise
the Program Manager and relevant Design Manager on contract matters
and contractual implications of intended courses of action.
- Prepare
all costs and cash flow reports, variation logs, data systems and periodic
cost-status reports
Interrogate claims and Variation Order proposals submitted by consultants
and, where relevant, contractors and obtain sufficient substantiation
to convince both the Program Manager, relevant Design
- Manager
and Qatar Petroleum of the legitimacy of the claim or VO proposal.
- Manage
and facilitate a Risk Management system on the Project for each package
of work.
- Provide
support to the CM team for the project as necessary.

Education
and essential requirements
- B.Sc
in Quantity Surveying
- Preferred
membership of RICS.
- Minimum
15 years experience, preferably with some time spent in the Middle East.
