Resident Engineer (Mechanical) - ECI/RW/HQ00000072

Job Description

The position requires a degree qualified engineer with at least 20 years experience of which 4 has been as RE. The ideal candidate will be able to shown in-depth knowledge of the installation of AC plant together with strong MEP background.

  • Review the contractor's change order proposals. Prepare recommendations to the CM. Assist in negotiations with the contractor regarding changes in contract value or project duration.
  • Review the contractor's change order proposals. Prepare recommendations to the CM. Assist in negotiations with the contractor regarding the value of claims or changes in schedule.
  • Review the contractor's progress. Monitor the work performed, the material incorporated in the work, the materials stored at the site and the contractor's manpower and equipment.
  • Attend weekly, monthly and other progress meetings held at the site. Review the contractor's progress. Identify constraints and recommend corrective measures.
  • Prepare and transmit all site directions and instructions.
  • Ensure the correctness and completeness of as-built drawings.
  • Assist in the final inspection of the work. Review the adequacy and accuracy of the punch lists. Monitor the final completion of the work. Assist in the handover of the completed facilities.
