The PM/CM Division

The Project & Construction Management Division follows best professional practices based upon recognized industry standards of management delivery, such as CMAA (Construction Management Association of America). The division includes Registered and highly experienced Project and Construction Managers, Senior Cost Managers and Schedulers, Chartered QS's, Civil and MEP Engineers, Architects and Landscape Architects.

The Person

Architect 40 years -plus - should have some experience of / working knowledge of Curtainwall buildings. Ability to service Client and liaise closely, in terms of Client Briefing. Should have a minimum 10 years of PM/CM Experience, working with Construction Programmes and monitoring Resources and Progress against Time. Managing Quality issues and minimizing delays. Strong Contract knowledge - FIDIC IV. Ideally should have familiarity with Construction of Quality Internal and External Finishes, and of Fit-out Construction Management. Decisive, Experienced, and willing to lead a Team of Engineers in a challenging Construction Environment.

The Position

  • Review the contractor's change order proposals. Prepare recommendations to the CM. Assist in negotiations with the contractor regarding changes in contract value or project duration.
  • Review the contractor's change order proposals. Prepare recommendations to the CM. Assist in negotiations with the contractor regarding the value of claims or changes in schedule.
  • Review the contractor's progress. Monitor the work performed, the material incorporated in the work, the materials stored at the site and the contractor's manpower and equipment.
  • Attend weekly, monthly and other progress meetings held at the site. Review the contractor's progress. Identify constraints and recommend corrective measures.
  • Prepare and transmit all site directions and instructions.
  • Ensure the correctness and completeness of as-built drawings.
  • Assist in the final inspection of the work. Review the adequacy and accuracy of the punch lists. Monitor the final completion of the work. Assist in the hand over of the completed facilities.
