Planning Engineer - KAD/SS/HQ00000284 - Qatar
Position
The
Project & Construction Management Division follows best professional
practices based upon recognized industry standards of management delivery,
such as CMAA (Construction Management Association of America). The division
includes Registered and highly experienced Project and Construction Managers,
Senior Cost Managers and Schedulers, Chartered QS's, Civil and MEP Engineers,
Architects and Landscape Architects.
Key
Duties
- Participate
in contract administration.
- Review/approve
contractor's work programs submissions.
- Advise
and assist the contractor in the development of the work programs.
- Record
and report the actual progress of the work versus the planned work.
- Ability
to generate critical milestones for the construction stage for inclusion
in tender documents through detailed discussions with the Design Manager,
Design Team, evaluation of interfaces between buildings/infrastructure
etc.
- Technical
tender evaluations
- Consolidation
and presentation of Consultants weekly reports
- Produce
cash flows in P3 and be able to work with both office and site based
Cost Managers
- Major
coordination between primary infrastructure and building construction
Requirements
- Prepare
pre-construction & construction phase master and detailed schedules
- Prepare
monthly progress reports
- Evaluate
designers' and contractors' detailed schedules and prepare the evaluation
report
- Be
fully conversant with the standard forms of contract e.g. FIDIC etc.
- Evaluate
claims and make appropriate recommendations
- Be
fully conversant with Primavera P3 package
- Ideally
be able to utilize MS Projects
- Minimum
of 8 years experience on building projects with some experience of high
rise projects
- Have
a minimum of 4 years of experience in the Gulf region
- Understand
and be able to apply resourcing to schedule activities
Qualifications
Degree
in Civil Engineering or similar
Note:
