Location of positions: Doha HQ

The position would be for the Doha office and requires an individual with excellent CAD abilities who will compliment the existing design base of the company.

Qualifications

A recognized diploma holder with a minimum of five years in a design office environment. At least three years professional CAD design and drafting experience with a medium to large design consultancy specialising in Building
Services for various types of clients. Must have experience in structural, architectural and civil drafting

Requirements

The job requires an individual who has extensive CAD drafting experience covering all types of building services, - Developing sketches into working drawings/detail.
The individual therefore has to be able to produce accurate design drawings for all aspects of the assigned projects from concept drawing stage to construction stage drawings. In addition, the ability to produce shop drawings would be a distinct advantage. Working knowledge of other disciplines, electrical and mechanical engineering would be a distinct advantage.

Skills

• The CADD person will be fully conversant with AutoDesk© software packages (AutoCad 2006) with preference given to candidates with experience of ADT 2006.
• Candidates should also be able to demonstrate 2D, 3D, isometric drawing and rendering drawing skills for drawing production.
• Relevant skills would also include experience of international drawings standards and conventions with a strong knowledge of drawing symbols conventions for different market sectors.
  
• A good standard of written and spoken English, including technical English, ability to coordinate with other engineers and disciplines within our offices is a prerequisite.
• Computer literacy will include other software packages, in particular development and use of spreadsheets for importing into CAD drawings.
  
• The position requires a self motivated person who is reliable, responsible, adaptable and flexible, and who can respond to the challenges presented by working in a professional design office environment.
