WATER & ENVIRONMENT

The Infrastructure Water & Environment Division provides engineering consultancy services in the areas of water, wastewater, drainage, solid waste and environmental impact assessments. Our team of engineers and specialists reflect the market we serve. We provide practical and sustainable solutions taking into account environmental impacts. In our design approach we consider other factors such as sustainability, resource planning, value engineering and O&M efficiency.

Project

This is for a major water pipeline scheme comprising a 1600mm diameter D.I. water pipeline including booster pumping stations for our Client Kahramaa (Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation).

Duties

• Inspect site conditions to ensure suitability for the designed permanent works
  
• Review materials delivered to site for conformance with approved samples, materials, equipment and report accordingly.
  
• Check that materials delivered to site are properly stored.
  
• Inspect construction including temporary works to ensure compliance with approved methods and Contract requirements.
  
• Maintain records of inspections made, tests performed, work executed, etc.
  
• Observe site safety procedures.
  
• Assist with inspection of completed works. Prepare snag lists and monitor testing and commissioning prior to handover of the works.
  
• Perform all other duties assigned by immediate superior.
