Ideal candidate will have at least ten years of experience in highway/roadway, drainage design. This position requires the ability to manage projects, lead and train Jr. Engineers and support Kuwait-infra branch design efforts.

Job Description

• Prepare, monitor and drive project schedules.
  
• Coordinate with local authorities / agencies
  
• Perform project design, sketching design concepts to be developed by junior engineers, CADD designers or technicians.
  
• Plan and review the production of engineering drawings and specifications.
  
• Develop and evaluate plans and criteria for new projects, weighing alternatives and selecting the most cost-effective solution.
  
• Oversee the preparation of cost and labor estimates, schedules and job budgets.
  
• Coordinate work with sr. managers, and guide junior professionals and technical personnel on the design and drafting of preliminary and final plans.
  
• Responsible for quality control, maintaining quality standards in all work produced, and checking computations or reviewing designs and drawings performed by others.
  

Requirements

• 10+ years experience as a Highway/Roadway Engineer (in western countries if possible or worked for International companies)
  
• Candidate must be knowledgeable with US, British and AASHTO design standards
  
• Knowledge of transportation design software.
  
• Licensed/Chartered (US, UK, EU, Australia, New Zealand preferably)
  
• BS in Civil Engineering
  
• Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  
• Reporting to Branch Manager Doha
