B.Sc. Electrical Engineering

Position

Experience Minimum 15 years relevant experience, last 2 years of which with the Consultant. Preference given to those with Gulf Middle East experience.

Key Duties

• Serve as the senior Site Representative for all matters related to construction quality assurance of electrical works.
  
• Monitor the electrical works for conformance with the provisions of the Contract Documents and the Procedures manual.
  
• Review, approve and process all electrical technical submittals.
  
• Coordinate and supervise the work of all electrical activities and operations.
  
• Liaise with local authorities and ministerial agencies having jurisdiction over the project.
  
• Receive/action Request for Information (RFI) that apply to electrical works. RFI's requiring design feedback will be directed to the Designer for response. Review the responses for adequacy.
  
• Review contractor's electrical change order proposals. Prepare recommendations to Resident Engineer for review. If warranted, assist in negotiations with contractors regarding changes in contract value or project duration.
  
• Review contractors' claims related to electrical works. Prepare recommendations for claims approval or rejection. Assist in negotiations with contractors regarding the value of claims or changes in schedules.
  
• Witness testing and commissioning of the works.
  
• Approve the contractors' as-built drawings and O&M manual submittals.
  
• Assist with the final inspection of the work. Review the adequacy and accuracy of punch lists. Monitor final completion of the work.
