Construction Manager - YLNG001 Sanna / Balhaf (Yemen)

Job Description

• Supervise EPC Pipeline constructor for the construction, commissioning up to and including ready-for-start-up of the pipeline.
• Monitor by review and audit EPC contractors quality programmes.
• Ensure that the pipeline EPC constructor performs the work in accordance with the contract, in particular the schedule and the quality of work, in the safest and most environmentally friendly manner possible.

Reporting to

Directly to the pipeline project manager, the successful candidate will manage a team of professional staff (approx. 40) and supervise the construction activities of the pipeline EPC contractor and liaise with other parts f the project on site (Upstream, LNG plant and Operations). The construction team will be mobilsed to Sanaa / Balhaf

Knowledge and Experience

• Graduate engineer, construction manager with detailed knowledge of pipeline and facilities construction.
• Familiar with operations and contract management.
• At Least 15 years engineering of oil and gas pipeline projects
• Good understanding of contractual relationship management between the company, contractor and other third parties.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Negotiations and team management skills..

Duties

• Manage a multidisciplinary team covering all pipeline and related facilities for all phases of construction, commissioning and ready for startup functions. This includes interfaces and handover to the production team.
• Ensure monitoring, auditing and guilding of the installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning of all construction work, such that work is delivered into operational condition.
• Supervise all site work, technical, contractual, and cost related information recording and reporting to the pipeline project manager.
• Liaise with Lead Service Engineer to access actual progress, anticipated problems, and recommend corrective actions, measures, and solutions.
• Identify deviations and non-conformances
• Manage interface with the pipeline Engineering Manager and contractors on site.
• Review, approve and monitor EPC contractors work programmes.
• Validate weekly and monthly reports on trend indicators and statistics.
